Job summary

SimonMed in Tampa is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography, including tomosynthesis, with precision and compassion. You will work in a fast-paced outpatient imaging environment, ensuring image quality, proper labeling, and patient comfort while adhering to MQSA, ACR, and HIPAA standards.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT Radiography and Mammography certifications, an active state license, and BLS.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography and Mammography certifications required.
• Active state radiologic technologist license if applicable.
• BLS certification and MQSA compliance training preferred.
• Experience with digital mammography, RIS, and PACS.
• Ability to position patients and obtain high-quality images.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography, including tomosynthesis.
• Ensure image quality, correct labeling, and adherence to MQSA/ACR standards.
• Verify patient identity and review medical history; explain procedures clearly.
• Maintain equipment, perform routine QA, and document appropriately.
• Mentor students and contribute to a positive clinical culture.
