Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a part-time Mammography Technologist to provide safe, high-quality imaging and compassionate patient support. This role offers a predictable schedule with flexibility during the week, ideal for clinicians balancing clinical work with personal life.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
• Minimum 1 year of radiologic technologist experience and 1 year of mammography experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Explain the exam clearly to reduce anxiety (AIDET).
• Protect patient privacy and comfort during positioning and transfers.
• Review images for quality and completeness before release.
• Operate mammography equipment safely and ensure infection control.
• Maintain and document QC tests and DICOM labeling.
• Provide clear pre- and post-exam instructions to patients.
• Communicate professionally within a fast-paced team.
