Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-M (Mammography) certifications.
• BLS certification – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and verify patient identity.
• Explain exams clearly (AIDET) to reduce anxiety.
• Protect patient privacy, dignity, comfort, and assist transfers.
• Review images for quality and first-time acceptance.
• Maintain equipment safety, infection control, and QC tests.
• Label, document, and archive images in PACS/RIS.
• Provide pre- and post-exam instructions and answer questions.
• Train new team members and stay updated with required education.
