Job summary

The Mammography Technologist position at Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, delivers diagnostic mammography using fluoroscopic/digital radiography, DEXA, and stereotactic procedures. You'll work across sites, adhere to RIS/PACS workflows, and maintain patient safety.

You will perform quality control, track equipment maintenance, document QA activities, and communicate clearly with radiologists and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from an accredited program.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT (R) MRT-General Certificate.
• BCLS certification.
• 40 hours mammography training approved by ARRT.
• Ability to use computer keyboard.
• Knowledge of mammography QA measures and accreditation requirements.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and/or screening mammography per policies and protocols.
• Understand and apply imaging principles; ensure proper patient positioning and communication.
• Maintain documentation and follow-up for stereotactic and DEXA studies as needed.
• Participate in quality control and equipment maintenance; document results.
• Maintain supplies and cleaning logs; ensure proper tracking in RIS/PACS.
• Adhere to radiation safety and sterile technique where applicable.
