Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Mammography Technologist in Houston area. You will perform diagnostic and screening mammography, adhere to safety protocols, and participate in quality control to ensure image quality and patient safety.

The role requires ARRT(R) certification, MRT-General, BCLS, and strong communication skills. Opportunities include continued training and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
• 40 hours mammography training approved by the ARRT
• ARRT (R)
• MRT-General Certificate
• BCLS certification
• Working knowledge of mammography quality assurance measures and accreditation requirements
• Ability to use computer keyboard
• Proven excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and/or screening mammography per policies and protocols
• Maintain an individual repeat rate of < 5%
• Participate in Technical Quality Control and equipment maintenance
• Document results and use RIS and MamModule systems
• Adhere to radiation safety measures and sterile technique as needed
• Engage in ongoing training and maintain licenses/certifications
