Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopic studies at our Houston sites. You will ensure image quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while supporting patient care across multiple specialties.

You will participate in training, maintain licenses, and collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and staff to deliver high-quality imaging services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Eligible for ARRT (R) registry.
• MRT-General Certificate Status within one year of eligibility OR ARRT (R).
• BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Ability to use computer keyboard and grasp elements of digital image acquisition.
• Proven excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiography and fluoroscopic studies according to department policies and protocols.
• Participate in routine equipment maintenance and document cleaning logs; report malfunctions to the Radiology Supervisor.
• Use RIS correctly and document atypical conditions for radiologist review; monitor PACS and alert issues beyond scope.
• Demonstrate radiation safety awareness and use shielding devices appropriately; maintain sterile technique when required.
• Participate in training and continuing education; maintain licenses/certifications; may perform other duties as needed.
• Interact effectively with patients and colleagues; communicate clearly with supervisors, coordinators, and radiologists; reflect mission and values.
