Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center in Georgia is seeking a part-time Mammography Technologist to provide safe, high-quality imaging while supporting patients with clear, compassionate communication.

The role requires ARRT-M and ARRT-R credentials, at least 1 year of radiologic and mammography experience in a hospital setting, strong safety and patient-care skills. Experience with ACR/MQSA QC is a plus, and ability to work flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year as a Radiologic Technologist and at least 1 year mammography experience in a hospital.
• Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-M and BLS (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol with two patient identifiers.
• Review images for quality and document in PACS/RIS; maintain first-time acceptance rate.
• Explain exams to patients (AIDET) to reduce anxiety while protecting privacy and comfort.
• Operate equipment safely, optimize dose, and adhere to infection control guidelines.
• Document QC tests and daily charge capture; ensure accurate labeling and orientation of images.
• Assist in transfers, training of new team members, and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Maintain professional communication in a fast-paced imaging department.
