Job summary

Solis Mammography in Southlake, TX is seeking a dedicated Mammography Technologist to join our patient-centered team. You will operate x-ray equipment and perform diagnostic mammography procedures, ensuring precise positioning and exposure techniques to support accurate imaging.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Medical Board license (TMB) required.
• Current ARRT Mammography certification or eligible with clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• MQSA continuing education: 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200 documented cases every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammography x-ray equipment with high accuracy in positioning and exposure.
• Perform diagnostic mammography procedures and ensure image quality.
• Explain procedures to patients and educate women on breast health.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, staff and patients, maintaining patient-first focus.

Work Location:

Southlake, TX

Work Hours:

Full-Time | Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm (1-2 Saturdays required per month 7:30am-12:00pm)

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here Is What You Will Need

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day In The Life Of a Mammography Technologist

• Provide services and support for the following areas:
  • Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
  • Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
  • Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
  • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
  • Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
