Job Description :

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

This role involves performing mammography procedures following applicable standards and organizational policies, values, and mission.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Position patients and perform imaging procedures. Review images for quality, address issues by repositioning or repeating procedures, and document data in EHR systems. (50%)
2. Review patient history and physician's orders. Educate patients about procedures and equipment to ensure understanding and cooperation. (20%)
3. Prepare and administer contrast media or medications as ordered within scope. Monitor patient condition and assist physicians with interventional procedures like fine needle aspiration and localization. (15%)
4. Prepare equipment, select appropriate imaging parameters, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance, including quality control and accreditation documentation. Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure compliance with MQSA standards. (15%)
5. Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

• Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
• Radiography certification
• Mammography certification - to be obtained within 12 months of hire
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Clearance
