Job Description - MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST (252411)

Position Overview

Performs medical mammograms to diagnose disease or trauma. Responsible for programming mammography machines for correct density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion. Operates and maintains mammography equipment safely, adhering to radiation safety guidelines. Conducts and documents all QA/QC tests as per MQSA standards. ARRT certification in Mammography required within 1 year of hire.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Graduate from a two-year AMA-approved radiologic technology program (Required)

Experience

• 2 years in a Radiologic Technologist position (Required)
• 1 year in Mammography (Preferred)

Licenses/Certifications

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Required)
• RT(R)(M) - Registered Technologist (Required)
• BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
