Job Details

The Mammography Technologist performs mammography exams, screenings, and diagnostic studies, and assists during invasive procedures. Under the physician's direction, the technologist detects breast tissue abnormalities and presents findings for diagnosis. They also provide patient care and education before, during, and after imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Explain radiographic procedures to patients and gather accurate patient history.
• Enter patient and exam data into the Radiology Information System.
• Assist radiologists with invasive procedures as needed.

Qualifications

• ARRT Mammography certification required.
• Six (6) months to one (1) year of post-registration experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
