Job summary

HCA Florida Trinity Hospital in Trinity, Florida is seeking a Florida-licensed Mammography Technician (Mammographer) to perform routine mammographic procedures including stereotactic, ABBI and breast needle localization.

Under the direction of a Radiologist, you will obtain high-quality images, prepare and position patients, ensure patient modesty, and document all required information during and after exams. This role supports a patient-centered imaging team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• 2-year Associate degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Vocational/technical education is acceptable.
• ARRT Mammography Certification: R.T. (M).
• Active Florida DOH licensure (CRT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of mammography equipment and maintenance.
• Minimum 6 months of current/recent mammography experience.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and frequent lifting of 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography/radiology studies and obtain high-quality images.
• Prepare, transfer and position patients ensuring modesty and safety.
• Document clinical information prior to exam and obtain informed consent.
• Maintain communication with patients and radiologists.
• Check equipment operation and keep room stocked with supplies.

Mammography Technician (Mammographer)

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Mammography Technician to perform routine preventative and diagnostic mammographic procedures including stereotactic, ABBI and breast needle localization procedures.

As a Mammographer under the direction of a Radiologist, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner obtaining high-quality images ready for interpretation

• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated

• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time

• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist

• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies

Qualifications

• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to mammography

• Minimum of 6 months current/recent experience as a Mammographer (hospital or outpatient setting)

• Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
