The position is a Mammography Technician (Mammographer) on days.
Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida‑licensed Mammography Technician to perform routine preventive and diagnostic mammographic procedures including stereotactic, ABBI, and breast needle localization procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner, obtaining high‑quality images ready for interpretation.
- Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated.
- Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
- Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist.
- Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross‑contamination of contagious diseases and keep the room stocked with necessary supplies.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA‑approved Radiologic Technology program.
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology (2‑year).
- Vocational/technical education.
- ARRT Mammography Certification: R.T. (M).
- Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to mammography.
- Minimum of 6 months current/recent experience as a Mammographer (hospital or outpatient setting).
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
