Job summary

HCA Florida Trinity Hospital is seeking a Florida-licensed Mammography Technician to perform routine mammographic procedures, including stereotactic and ABBI, on day shifts. You will prepare and position patients, obtain informed consent, and ensure high-quality images ready for radiologist interpretation.

Responsibilities include equipment checks, maintaining cleanliness, documenting information in MEDITECH, and collaborating with radiology staff to ensure safe, efficient exams.

Qualifications

• AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program graduate.
• Two-year Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Active Florida licensure (CRT).
• ARRT Mammography Certification: R.T. (M).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

The position is a Mammography Technician (Mammographer) on days.

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida‑licensed Mammography Technician to perform routine preventive and diagnostic mammographic procedures including stereotactic, ABBI, and breast needle localization procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner, obtaining high‑quality images ready for interpretation.
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated.
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time.
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist.
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross‑contamination of contagious diseases and keep the room stocked with necessary supplies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA‑approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology (2‑year).
• Vocational/technical education.
• ARRT Mammography Certification: R.T. (M).
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to mammography.
• Minimum of 6 months current/recent experience as a Mammographer (hospital or outpatient setting).
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
