The Mammography Technologist performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures that may apply ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology in patients. Regulates the equipment used to expose the various image receptors, completes the appropriate paperwork, and computer applications. Organizes and prepares the images for interpretation by the radiologist. Operates equipment safely and maintains ALARA standards while performing all types of procedures within the scope of the Mammographers practice. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, medical staff.
