Job summary

Northside Hospital in the Atlanta area seeks a Radiologic Technologist with specialization in mammography to advance diagnostic imaging services. The role requires proficiency in stereotactic biopsy and QC activities, and the ability to perform full-suite mammography including needle localization and ductograms.

The candidate works with autonomy and under indirect supervision to ensure patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography is required.
• Stereotactic procedures and/or QC in mammography is required.
• BLS certification must be held.

Responsibilities

• Perform stereotactic biopsy and/or QC related to mammography.
• Ability to perform all types of mammography studies including needle localization and ductograms.
• Work in areas requiring autonomy and indirect supervision.

Requires competency in stereotactic biopsy and/or ability to competently perform QC related to mammography. Additionally, this position is characterized by the ability to perform all types of mammography studies to include needle localization and ductograms. Works in areas requiring autonomy and indirect supervision.

REQUIRED

1. Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
2. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist with certification in Radiography and Mammography R.T.(R)(M)(ARRT).
3. Qualified to perform stereotactic procedures and/or quality control (QC) specific to mammography.
4. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support. (BLS)

PREFERRED

1. One (1) year of experience in mammography.
2. One (1) year of experience in stereotactic procedures and/or quality control (QC) specific to mammography.
3. Experience in Clinical Research setting.
