Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. in Decatur, Georgia is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in mammography. The position entails performing various mammography studies, including stereotactic procedures under indirect supervision. Candidates must have a degree in Radiologic Technology and be ARRT certified. Additional requirements include American Heart Association BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include experience in mammography and clinical research. This is a full-time position with work hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with certification in Radiography and Mammography.
• Qualified to perform stereotactic procedures and/or quality control (QC) in mammography.

Responsibilities

• Perform all types of mammography studies including needle localization and ductograms.
• Work autonomously with indirect supervision.
• Maintain competency in stereotactic biopsy.

Responsibilities

Requires competency in stereotactic biopsy and/or ability to competently perform QC related to mammography. Additionally, this position is characterized by the ability to perform all types of mammography studies to include needle localization and ductograms. Works in areas requiring autonomy and indirect supervision.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist with certification in Radiography and Mammography R.T.(R)(M)(ARRT).
• Qualified to perform stereotactic procedures and/or quality control (QC) specific to mammography.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support. (BLS)

PREFERRED

• One (1) year of experience in mammography.
• One (1) year of experience in stereotactic procedures and/or quality control (QC) specific to mammography.
• Experience in Clinical Research setting.
