Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta seeks a Radiologic Technologist specializing in mammography to join our advanced radiology team.

You will perform all mammography procedures, including stereotactic techniques, needle localization, and ductogram imaging, with a focus on quality control and patient care. The position requires floating to locations as needed and working with a degree of autonomy within our supportive department.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered by ARRT as Radiologic Technologist with Radiography and Mammography (R.T.(R)(M)(ARRT)).
• Qualified to perform stereotactic procedures and QC specific to mammography.
• Must hold American Heart Association BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform all types of mammography studies, including needle localization and ductograms.
• Float to designated locations as needed based on staffing, working with autonomy.

OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY

Requires ability to float as needed to designated locations based on staffing needs. Competency in stereotactic biopsy and/or ability to competently perform QC related to mammography. Additionally, this position is characterized by the ability to perform all types of mammography studies to include needle localization and ductograms. Works in areas requiring autonomy and indirect supervision.

REQUIRED

1. Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
2. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist with certification in Radiography and Mammography R.T.(R)(M)(ARRT).
3. Qualified to perform stereotactic procedures and/or quality control (QC) specific to mammography.
4. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

PREFERRED

1. Four (4) years of mammography experience.
2. Two (2) year of experience in stereotactic procedures and/or quality control (QC) specific to mammography.
3. Experience in Clinical Research setting.
