Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut is actively hiring Mammography Technologists to join their team in New Britain, Connecticut, to support a state-of-the-art suite with Tomosynthesis GE Pristina Mammography units. The Mammography Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging and may train on DEXA and localization procedures, under standard protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiography program.
• CT State Radiographer's License required.
• ARRT (R) required - ARRT (M) preferred
• Current xray and mammography experience highly preferred.
• Acute care experience and experience with invasive procedures is very highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Mammography Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic mammographic procedures, according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment.
• The Mammography Technologist operates digital tomosynthesis mammography equipment and performs procedures. This will include x-ray and mammography with the opportunity to train in DEXA, stereotactic/needle localization procedures and Contrast Enhanced Mammography.
