Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, CT is actively hiring Mammography Technologists to join a dynamic team, with cross-training opportunities in Mammography and a state-of-the-art Tomosynthesis suite using GE Pristina units.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiography program.
• CT State Radiographer's License required.
• ARRT (R) required; ARRT (M) preferred.
• Current x-ray and mammography experience highly preferred.
• Acute care experience and experience with invasive procedures is very highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Mammography Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic mammographic procedures, according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment.
• Operates digital tomosynthesis mammography equipment and performs procedures, with opportunity to train in DEXA, stereotactic/needle localization and Contrast Enhanced Mammography.

Education

Graduate of an approved Radiography program

CT State Radiographer's License

ARRT (R) required; ARRT (M) preferred

Current x-ray and mammography experience

Acute care experience and invasive procedures experience
