Job summary

The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, CT is actively seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our radiology team. Cross-training in mammography, tomosynthesis and related procedures will be provided to support a state-of-the-art imaging suite.

Applicants should hold a Radiography credential, CT state license, ARRT(R) and have experience in x-ray and mammography; a dedication to patient care and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiography program.
• CT State Radiographer's License required.
• ARRT (R) required - ARRT (M) preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Mammography Technologist performs diagnostic and therapeutic mammographic procedures, according to established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment.
• The Mammography Technologist operates digital tomosynthesis mammography equipment and performs procedures. This will include x-ray and mammography with the opportunity to train in DEXA, stereotactic/needle localization procedures and Contrast Enhanced Mammography.
