Job summary

Communities In Schools of Central Texas is hiring a full-time Male Leadership Coach for Akins HS in Austin ISD. You will lead a cohort of young men through weekly group sessions, provide individualized case management, and coordinate experiences to help them grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

This is a high school campus-based role with some evening/weekend work. The role requires strong facilitation, relationship-building with students and families, and collaboration with CIS

Qualifications

• Experience facilitating group discussions about identity, leadership, and resilience.
• Excellent written and oral communication with families and school staff.
• Commitment to youth development and cultural humility.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate weekly MSAP group sessions and leadership development curriculum.
• Build supportive relationships with students through check-ins and case management.
• Coordinate with school staff, families, CIS teammates to remove barriers to student success.
• Connect students with enrichment opportunities including college visits and career exploration.
• Document student progress and maintain accurate case notes in CIS systems.
• Coordinate end-of-year celebrations and MSAP events.
• Lead events such as field trips and retreats on campus.
