Job summary

Texas Sports Academy in Austin (Lakeway campus) seeks a former elite athlete to become a Player Development Coach. You will translate competitive discipline into daily motivation, coach life-skills, and lead high-energy practices that uphold championship standards.

You’ll run 1:1 motivation sessions, morning kickoffs, and structured afternoon sessions, using progress data to push each student toward academic and personal goals. This is a full-time W2 role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Former elite athletes who competed at the very top of sport (Olympians, World Champions, pro players, or NCAA D1 All-Americans).
• Bachelor’s degree in any subject.
• Proven experience mentoring and coaching life skills through sport.
• Demonstrated motivational leadership in athletic, academic, or professional settings.
• Legal right to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Willing to live in or relocate to the Austin, TX area (Lakeway campus).

Responsibilities

• Own daily student motivation by reviewing progress and coaching toward clear academic and personal goals.
• Lead energetic morning kickoffs to set a focused, competitive tone for the school day.
• Run life-skills workshops teaching resilience, leadership, discipline and follow-through.
• Deliver structured afternoon athletic sessions reinforcing grit, teamwork and high standards.
• Use student progress data to intervene quickly when a student is stuck or disengaged.
