Qualifications

• Native Malayalam speaker with full command of the script and orthography.
• Experience with document annotation, transcription, localization, or related tasks.
• Character-level accuracy is essential; diacritics must be correct and consistent.

Responsibilities

• Open and verify tasks: ensure pages are in Malayalam, legible, and contain no personal data.
• Annotate structure by identifying regions and assigning type and reading order.
• Record relationships by linking regions to figures or tables via parent identifiers.
• Transcribe faithfully in Malayalam script, flagging unreadable regions.
• Capture page metadata including language, document type, source, and scanning notes.
• Participate in two-pass review by a Malayalam expert to ensure quality.
