Job summary

Green Country Habitat for Humanity seeks a Make Ready Technician to coordinate on-site tasks, ensure quality touchups, and support maintenance across new homes. You will lead volunteers, manage tools, and uphold safety standards in a hands-on construction environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the Construction Superintendent, daily 7:30am–4:00pm schedules, and adherence to Habitat’s mission. Prior crew leadership and safety focus are valued.

Qualifications

• Oversee on-site make-ready tasks and ensure quality workmanship.
• Organize tools and materials to progress work efficiently while keeping a clean site.
• Experience as a volunteer team is a plus.
• Possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Commitment to job safety at all times.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• General knowledge of all phases of construction.

Responsibilities

• The Make Ready Technician ensures all new homes interior and exterior touchups are completed.
• Performs general warranty repairs and assists in maintenance of homes.
• Assist with loading and unloading materials such as appliances at job sites.
• Ensure required tools are available on site for tasks.
• Monitor safety rules and report any incidents with documentation.
• Maintain safe work pace and prevent heat-related issues on site.
• Perform high-skill tasks like drywall, paint, trim touchups, and installing appliances.
• Collab with Superintendents to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Inspect subcontractors’ work to meet project requirements and quality goals.
• Support coordination with Construction Superintendent and team to achieve mission.
