Job summary

GCI Residential is seeking a Make Ready Technician to join Settler's Landing in Streetsboro, OH. You will perform light maintenance, prepare vacant units, and support the maintenance team to uphold the community’s standards and promote resident satisfaction.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license. HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical knowledge are preferred, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and on-call hours.

Qualifications

• General maintenance experience with HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, or electrical is preferred.
• Ability to work with maintenance staff to ensure Make Ready Units meet basic engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform light maintenance and prepare vacant apartments, including trashing and removing carpet.
• Assist with light landscaping duties such as weeding and watering.
• Routinely inspect and maintain buildings to ensure appearance aligns with company standards and laws.
• Assist with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, appliance, keys and locks in Make Ready Units.
• Provide high quality customer service to maximize resident retention.
• Occasionally perform snow removal when needed.
