Job summary

Billingsley Company is seeking an Assistant Make Ready Manager to oversee the make-ready process for vacant units. You will work with the Senior Make Ready Manager to ensure timely, high-quality turnovers and lead a team of technicians in hands-on maintenance and training.

You will participate in quality inspections, coordinate with vendors, and manage shop operations, parts, and safety standards across multiple properties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade certifications in a relevant field are strongly preferred.
• EPA Section 608 certification required.
• Experience in multifamily property maintenance or make-ready operations; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections and define turn scope with vendors to confirm readiness for release.
• Lead, coach, and train Make Ready Technicians and Technician IIs on proper technique, safety, and quality standards.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and vendor relations with the Senior Make Ready Manager and Senior Service Manager.
• Maintain shop space, tools, inventory, and safety practices; support budgeting and forecast of turn volumes.
