Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Barton Creek Villas in Austin, TX. The role focuses on ensuring property systems, facilities, and grounds meet safety and cleanliness standards, while supporting residents’ service requests and preventative maintenance.

You will handle make-ready inspections, coordinate with vendors, manage tools and materials, and maintain accurate documentation. The position requires independence, reliability, and a proactive approach to facility upkeep.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and/or training.
• 2 years minimum experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling; state/local licenses as required.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Perform make-ready tasks for vacant apartments; create punch list and coordinate vendors.
• Track inventory, obtain supplies, and notify supervisor when re-ordering is needed.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly.
• Assist in grounds/amenities maintenance and basic cleaning tasks.
• Participate in safety meetings and comply with OSHA requirements.
• Inspect work by contractors to ensure quality and conformance.
