Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons is seeking a Make Ready Maintenance Technician for Arbor Lakes Apartments in Elkhart, IN to restore vacant homes to market-ready status and manage the full turn process before move-in. The role includes drywall, painting, caulking, and tile work, plus appliance and fixture repairs as needed.

Candidates should have experience in building maintenance or be willing to train, own tools, and have reliable transportation with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in building maintenance including drywall, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, appliance repair, and HVAC.
• HVAC certification or experience preferred.
• Possess own tools and professional appearance.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and coworkers.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn software.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that all vacant apartment homes are restored to market-ready status.
• Completing full vacant turn process in a timely manner to meet move-in deadlines including drywall repairs, painting, caulking and grouting.
• Repair or replace appliances, faucets, garbage disposals, entry locks, windows as well as carpentry and ceramic tile installation.
• Completing administrative paperwork as necessary.
• Assisting with snow and ice removal, as required.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
