Job summary

Absolute Business Solutions Corp. (ABSC) seeks a Major Incident Response Technician to support the AFNCR ITS-2 program at Joint Base Andrews. The role coordinates incident response, triages issues, and maintains clear communication with government leadership through the incident lifecycle.

The candidate must hold an active Secret clearance, have DoD experience, and be able to work the Tue–Sat swing shift after a 30-day training period. On-site with ad-hoc telework as mission requirements allow.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance is required.
• CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
• Minimum two years of professional experience supporting a DoD environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and classify major IT incidents using AFNCR information and tools.
• Serve as primary point of contact for triaging newly identified issues.
• Coordinate rapid response by engaging internal and external technical teams.
• Establish and facilitate troubleshooting conferences during active incidents.
• Maintain clear, timely communication with government leadership throughout the incident lifecycle.
• Track incident status, impact, response activities, and resolutions.
• Collaborate with problem-management for root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Provide phone and on-site support for email, Windows apps, printers, and PC hardware/software.
• Document incident activity, findings, decisions, and final resolutions.
• Explain complex technical issues clearly to technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Demonstrate ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure.
