Job summary

The Salvation Army in San Antonio, TX is seeking a fundraising professional to plan, develop and manage the Major Gifts Department within the Development Team. You will coordinate major funding from individuals within the command and prepare proposals to secure gifts that support Army programs.

Working with the Director of Development, you will build development plans, cultivate major gift resources, and engage donors and community partners to expand funding opportunities and revenue for the

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communication, or related field.
Three to five years related work experience in fundraising, with two years in major gifts, with one year in supervisory role preferred, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Plans, develops and manages the Major Gifts Department within the Development Department and coordinates major funding from individuals within the command.
Prepares solicitation materials for major individual prospects and for corporate/foundation prospects; attends related meetings.
Acts as liaison to prospects and donors; develops relationships with the local community to enhance support of Army programs.
Works with the Director of Development to create comprehensive development plans including cultivation of major gift resources.
