Job summary

The Salvation Army Indiana Division is seeking a Major Gifts Officer to advance fundraising with a portfolio of qualified donors. You will cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts of $5,000 and higher, coordinating with staff and volunteers to achieve annual major gifts goals.

The role requires strong relationship-building, strategic planning, and excellent communication. Occasional travel and representation of TSA in a faith-based context are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in nonprofit mgmt, marketing, business administration or related field.
• CFRE preferred; five years fundraising with major gifts experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 125–150 major donors and prospects.
• Develop and execute a donor communications plan for gifts $5,000+.
• Lead one-to-one solicitation, gift acknowledgement, and stewardship.
• Travel as needed to meet income production goals.
• Input donor activity in Salesforce and coordinate with volunteers.
• Prepare written proposals for major gift prospects.
