Job summary

The Nature Conservancy seeks a Donor Relations Manager to plan and implement fundraising for major and deferred gifts in the Minnesota/North Dakota/South Dakota region. You will meet with prospects, build a 75–125 donor portfolio, and drive a $500k+ annual fundraising goal while coordinating with donors, volunteers and staff.

The role offers a hybrid schedule (2 days in Minneapolis, 3 days remote), local donor visits weekly, quarterly cross-state travel, and flexible hours to support work-life

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience.
• Major gift and direct fundraising experience.
• Managing a qualified major gift portfolio of at least 75 donors.
• Experience building relationships with donors, volunteers, and staff.
• Experience in managing and tracking multiple prospects and donors.
• Experience working across departments.
• Experience, coursework, or other training in fundraising principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement fundraising activities for major and deferred gifts.
• Conduct exploratory meetings with donors to determine capacity and inclination for giving.
• Build and manage a 75–125 donor portfolio and achieve a $500k+ annual goal.
• Assist in qualifying, cultivating, and soliciting various donors through events and meetings.
• Utilize donor database to track activity and update information; complete 75–125 visits and 225–375 moves annually.
