Job summary

The Nature Conservancy in Massachusetts is seeking a Donor Relations Manager to identify and qualify major and planned gift prospects and to cultivate and solicit donors through communications, meetings, trips, events, and other activities.

The DRM will move prospects to senior fundraising staff for management, provide detailed program information, draft personalized correspondence, and use the donor database to update records, generate reports, and track donor engagement.

The Massachusetts Chapter believes in flexibility and as such, team members are working in a hybrid model. This position is based in Massachusetts with an expectation of commuting proximity to our Boston office. Candidates should anticipate 8-10 in-person workdays or team meetings per month. ABOUT THE POSITION

As a member of the Massachusetts Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, the Donor Relations Manager (DRM) is responsible for the identification and qualification of major and planned gift prospects and assists in cultivating and soliciting donors through communications, meetings, trips, events, and other activities. They will move prospects capable of gifts of higher amounts to the prospect pool for management by senior fundraising staff and integration into the moves management process. The DRM will work on a variety of activities including providing detailed program information to prospects and drafting personalized correspondence and acknowledgments. They use the Conservancy’s donor database to update donor information, produce reports, perform analysis, and track and cultivate donors. The DRM understands the basics of the influencing factors on donors and the types of assets that may be used for the donor’s giving; applies knowledge to interactions with donors and gift asks.

COMPENSATION

$70,000- $83,000, based on experience & location
