Job summary

The Nature Conservancy in Colorado is seeking a Senior Associate Director of Development to lead fundraising efforts with major donors and a fast-paced team. This full-time role will directly manage a donor portfolio, drive a $2M+ annual fundraising goal, and guide staff toward a broader $10M–$20M team target under the Director of Philanthropy.

Strong relationship-building and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years related experience.
• Experience supervising staff and achieving goals.
• Proven ability to cultivate and close major gifts of $100k+.
• Experience building long-term relationships with major donors and corporations.
• Knowledge of campaigns, major gifts, and planned giving trends.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage donor portfolio and fundraising targets.
• Supervise fundraising staff.
• Ensure financial accountability and goal attainment.
• Plan and lead complex programs to meet department goals.
• Maintain compliance and protect reputational risk.
• Travel occasionally and work flexible hours.
• Collaborate with Director of Philanthropy and other teams.
