Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern Territory is seeking a development professional to cultivate and solicit major gifts and corporate donations in the Dallas area. You will work with our Donor Development Manager and team to craft a comprehensive plan that grows funding for operating and capital needs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of progressive fund development experience, with preference for Raiser’s Edge expertise and nonprofit fundraising success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; three years of progressive fundraising experience with a track record in fund development.
• Experience with donor cultivation, stewardship and major gifts.
• Prior success soliciting donations from individuals and corporations.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio of individual, major gift and corporate donors to meet revenue goals.
• Plan and evaluate an aggressive donor development program to hit goals.
• Respond to donor inquiries with accurate, timely information and professional communication.
• Create and present funding proposals and build corporate partnerships.
• Develop programs to cultivate alliances, sponsorships and matching donations.
• Prepare weekly/monthly donor reports and maintain accurate donor records.
• Coordinate special projects such as regional giving days.
