Job summary

Southern California Edison (SCE) seeks a Generation Major Construction Project Manager to lead capital projects within the Generation Operations unit. You will direct diverse teams in planning, execution, and commissioning of projects across multiple asset types.

You will drive safety-focused leadership, develop cost estimates, manage budgets and resources, and collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience in construction project management.
• Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.
• Experience delivering complex power generation, water and/or gas utility projects with focus on safety, reliability, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manages activities of one or more moderate to large projects with responsibility for scope, schedule, cost, and risk.
• Develops strategy and plans for projects and seeks approval from management.
• Leads large teams of professionals and contractors in development and execution of major projects and programs.
• Engages with management and presents to executives on project milestones and issues.
• Provides overall project leadership for safety and ensures compliance with standards.
• Manages cost estimates, budgets, expenditures, and procurement activities.
• Leads environmental assessments, permits, project execution planning, and closeout.
