Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in a Maître D position
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and most holidays
• Friendly and outgoing personality

Job Duties:

• Maintain a visible presence on the floor and interact with guests during business hours
• Stay informed about private/special events, dinners, and holidays
• Operate the reservation system accurately and efficiently
• Handle reservations and respond to in-person and telephone inquiries
• Assist with table setting and general dining room maintenance
• Be familiar with all menus, including specifications, abbreviations, and special items
• Perform supervisor duties such as shift meetings and opening/closing the restaurant
• Work on holidays and weekends as required
• Demonstrate courteous, friendly, professional, and efficient attitude

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent communication skills for interacting with management, team members, and guests
• Ability to answer the telephone pleasantly and handle reservations
• Availability to work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays all day
• Maintain tact and composure under pressure
• Previous host experience is required
• Computer knowledge is helpful
