Job summary

Major Food Group, owner of Torrisi in New York, is hiring an experienced Maitre D to join its Italian-American dining team. The role supports a luxe restaurant with a renowned wine program and a high-paced service culture.

You will oversee dining room operations, welcome guests, guide them to tables, answer questions about menu items and beverages, and manage guest flow to ensure impeccable service. Full availability and 8-hour standing ability are required.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of restaurant experience in high volume and fine dining.
• At least 2 years leading a front door team.
• Full availability required.

Major Food Group is hiring an experienced Maitre D to join our team atTorrisi!

Located in the historic Puck Building,Torrisi, a love letter to Little Italy, proudly presents an Italian-American restaurant with an extensive wine program, a New York-Italian cocktail bar and a luxe deli. Chef Rich Torrisi presides over an open kitchen and presents showstopping dishes, with many prepared or finished tableside to engender warm and welcoming hospitality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee dining room operation in a restaurant

Customer relations and ensuring guests receive impeccable service at all times
