Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements:

• Applicants must have sufficient training and experience demonstrating their ability to perform the duties of the position. Qualifications will be assessed by comparing your application responses to the Applicant Assessment Questions against the guidelines in the Job Qualification System for Trades and Labor Occupations, WS-4749 Series.
• You must meet both the Barely Acceptable level on the screen-out elements (Ability to Supervise) and (Aptitude for Work with Prisoners), receive at least half of the total possible points, and provide detailed information on your resume to support your responses. This demonstrates that you possess the experience and skills to perform the duties at the journeyman level.
• Failure to identify skills equivalent to a journeyman may lower your score or render you ineligible.

Note: Your eligibility will be based on your responses to the application questions. Experience outside of your regular Federal duties can be credited if documented appropriately (e.g., memorandum from a manager, SF-52, etc.).
