Friendship Village Retirement Community in Waterloo is seeking a dependable Maintenance Worker to join the team for 2nd shift. The role combines general maintenance, resident transportation, and security duties to support a safe, comfortable campus.

Responsibilities include transporting residents to appointments, assisting with repairs and upkeep, and performing security checks while following safety procedures. Flexible hours and a community-focused team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age.
• Must have Transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Prior maintenance experience required.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Work involves moderate to heavy work in all types of weather.
• Frequent need to stand, stop, walk, and lift heavy objects.

We are seeking a dependable, safety focused individual to join our team. This position preforming general maintenance; transportation services for our residents; and security throughout our community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport residents to appointments, activities, and other scheduled destinations.
• Provide courteous and respectful assistance to residents.

Working Hours:

Hours may vary but typically 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm Monday to Friday with rotating weekend and holiday coverage. Our facilities are open 365 days a year, so candidates must be flexible and willing to work any hours including weekends or holidays on an on‑call basis as needed, especially with inclement weather.
