Job summary

GDI, Inc. is seeking a facilities maintenance technician to perform light bulb and fixture replacements, and repairs to walls, ceilings, doors, and safety inspections across mall properties. You will work in common areas, parking lots and exterior spaces.

The role requires basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting skills, a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently or with a team, and adherence to safety policies. Ability to climb ladders and work in varying weather is needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and general repair techniques.
• Strong work ethic and safety orientation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to climb ladders and perform physical tasks in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and replace light bulbs, fixtures, ballasts and LED lighting in common areas, parking lots and exterior spaces.
• Perform general repairs to walls, ceilings, doors, locks, handrails, benches, and other mall property.
• Inspect the property regularly to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Maintain maintenance equipment and tools in safe working condition.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
