Job Title: Maintenance Worker

Position Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Facilities Maintenance Director

General Functions:

The Maintenance Worker is responsible for overseeing the general upkeep of the building and its infrastructure. Their role is to maintain building operations and ensure that the facilities are safe and functional at all times. This includes, but is not limited to, performing repairs, maintenance, cleaning of the building, grounds, and equipment.

Primary Responsibilities (not all-inclusive):

• Perform routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage.
• Apply preventative measures to reduce the risk of future problems.
• Fix potential safety hazards to prevent injuries.
• Paint the building when old paint has faded or chipped.
• Maintain groundskeeping duties if the facility has lawns or outdoor areas.
• Interact with employees, youth, or other stakeholders in a pleasant manner, demonstrating good interpersonal skills.
• Ensure all areas of the club are clean and properly sanitized.
• Pay attention to detail to complete jobs in an exemplary manner and identify potential hazards or warning signs of problems.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in maintenance.
• Ability to drive and operate a motor vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Working knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
