Part-time position available with the Parks & Recreation Department, Loose Park Gardens Division, located at Loose Park, 5200 Wornall

Salary Range: $19.27-$29.39

Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Works in adverse conditions for landscaping.
• Participates in collection of trash, routine grounds keeping and building maintenance activities.
• Operates equipment in mowing grass and trims shrubs.
• Operates chain and hand saws in cutting up tree branches and limbs.
• Waters and cares of grass, plants, trees, shrubs and flowers.
• Performs application of herbicides.
• Cleans and maintains bathrooms daily.
• Participates in snow removal duties as required in winter.
• Work assignments are received through oral and written instructions.
• Possess the ability to work with a group or complete assignments on own.
  
  

Qualifications

REQUIRES high school graduation OR 6 months of experience in general labor. May be required to possess a valid state-issued driver's license in accordance with City of KCMO policies. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical examination as prescribed by the City. Preference given to those with horticulture experience.
