Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Technical Trainer to ensure FMS shop employees have the skills and knowledge required for their roles, contributing to maintenance goals, cost control, and customer satisfaction.

The role drives continuous improvement in safety, quality, and efficiency within the FMS maintenance organization. You will administer training, coordinate with leadership to identify needs, develop and update materials, and ensure training records are current while monitoring facilities to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred for the role.
• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years working with heavy duty trucks, tractors, trailers, refrigeration and related components preferred.
• 1+ year managing people and remote personnel preferred.
• 2+ years in transportation industry preferred.
• 1+ year in training and development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer training to FMS maintenance employees.
• Coordinate with BU leadership to identify training needs and schedule attendance.
• Identify, develop, and update training materials and courses.
• Update training records upon course completion.
• Monitor training facilities to ensure high-quality environments and adequate equipment.
• Act as catalyst for Top Technician Recognition Program to improve eligibility and participation.
• Promote and support safety programs.
