Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Technical Trainer to ensure FMS shop staff have the skills and knowledge for their roles. The role supports maintenance goals, cost control, customer satisfaction, employee growth, and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• 3+ years working with heavy duty trucks, tractors, trailers and related components.
• 1+ year experience in managing people and remote personnel.
• 2+ years in transportation industry preferred.
• 1+ year in training and development experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer training to FMS maintenance employees.
• Coordinate with BU leadership to identify training needs and plan sessions.
• Identify, develop, and update training materials and courses.
• Update training records promptly after course completion.
• Monitor training facilities to ensure high-quality environments and report needs to Operations Leadership.
• Act as catalyst for Top Technician Recognition Program and drive participation.
• Promote and support safety programs.
