Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Technical Trainer to ensure FMS shop staff have the skills and knowledge for their roles, driving safety, quality, and efficiency. The role focuses on training delivery, materials development, and collaboration with leadership to align training with goals.

Responsibilities include administering training, updating records, promoting safety programs, and supporting the Top Technician Recognition Program, with heavy travel expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years working with heavy duty trucks, tractors, trailers and related components.
• 1+ year managing people and remote personnel; 2+ years in transportation industry; 1+ year in training and development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer training to FMS maintenance employees.
• Coordinate with BU leadership to identify training needs, create training schedules, and manage attendance.
• Develop and update training materials and courses.
• Update training records upon course completion.
• Monitor training facilities to ensure high quality environments and equipment; communicate needs to Operations Leadership.
• Act as catalyst for Top Technician Recognition Program to improve eligibility and participation.
• Promote and support safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
