Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Maintenance Technician for a rapidly growing and dynamic property management organization. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general maintenance of the apartment community, including performing repairs, troubleshooting, apartment turnover, and preventative maintenance. This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced professional to join a passionate team of dedicated individuals. The position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure maintenance tasks are performed efficiently and effectively.
• Follow up promptly with vendors and the property management team regarding maintenance services.
• Respond to on-call emergencies in a timely manner.
• Complete and follow up on all unresolved maintenance tickets.
• Utilize general maintenance equipment safely, including hand tools, ladders, landscaping tools, and safety gear.
• Inspect grounds, buildings, and community features daily to identify maintenance needs, minimize liability, and ensure curb appeal.
• Participate in company training sessions and meetings.
• Adhere to policies related to fair housing, OSHA, pool safety, and other standards set by the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in apartment maintenance, including basic electrical and plumbing diagnostics and repairs.
• Team player with a respectful attitude.
• Positive attitude and effective communication skills.
• Enjoy helping people.
• Possess basic tools for the trade.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to respond to off-hour emergency situations when needed.
• HVAC certification (CFC Universal).
