Are you mechanically inclined with a knack for hands-on work? Do you enjoy a flexible schedule and working independently, but also have the support of a team? The Equipment Service Technician is a remote-based Customer facing employee, primarily working inside hospitals. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing medical equipment used in surgical procedures, as well as providing installation support on complex mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic units. This role focuses on GI/Endoscopy low temperature washers, sterilizers, drying, and storage cabinets, closely tied to STERIS's product lines.

Individuals with experience in HVAC repair, Mechanics, Maintenance, Refrigeration, Boilers, Chillers, Equipment Repair, Diesel and Automotive Repair, Aviation Repair, Plumbing, Electrical, etc., are often successful.

This position requires candidates to be based in Kansas to support and service Customers in this territory.

What you'll do as an Equipment Service Technician:

1. Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of STERIS and competitor equipment.
2. Manage time effectively to complete service calls, installations, and other duties.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate issues and ensure compliance.
4. Build relationships with Customers and identify sales opportunities.
5. Support various locations within the assigned territory based on Customer needs.

Experience, Skills, and Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet credentialing requirements.
• Customer service and team engagement experience.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Flexibility to work early/late hours and overnight if needed.
• Compliance with hospital credentialing requirements.
