We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for our community, The Towneship at Clifton in Wichita, KS. The role involves general grounds and lawn maintenance, as well as basic repairs to homes, for a 40-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance to keep homes and community areas in proper condition.
  • Complete work orders efficiently and report progress to the Community Manager.
  • Handle all contacts with residents, prospects, visitors, and staff courteously and cooperatively.
  • Identify deficiencies using established procedures and take immediate corrective actions with approval.
  • Maintain community grounds, including weed control, leaf raking, planting, mulching, trimming, and tree limb removal.
  • Manage garbage disposal in community areas and remove large/bulk items as needed.
  • Perform snow removal using appropriate equipment.
  • Report and advise on large or improperly disposed of garbage items.
  • Inventory maintenance and grounds equipment and supplies, advising on needs.
  • Keep garage and storage areas organized and maintain equipment.
  • Follow health and safety laws to ensure safety for all.
  • Conduct seasonal pre-maintenance services.
  • Be available for on-call duties as required.
  • Participate in refurbishing community-owned homes.
  • Maintain water and sewer lines within the community.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Job Requirements
  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and insurability.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, HVAC, and carpentry.
  • May need to provide own tools.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, walk, and access restricted spaces.
  • Operate maintenance equipment safely.
  • Lift or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Work efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Tolerate exposure to chemicals.
