Job summary

Amrize is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Rayville, LA. The role focuses on maintaining plant equipment, performing preventative maintenance and daily/weekly reporting. You’ll inspect, repair, weld and fabricate as needed, while upholding strict safety standards on site.

Two years in heavy industry mechanical work, basic electrical/mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with shop tools are required. This is a full-time, hourly position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required.
• Minimum of two years in mechanical repair, installation and construction in heavy industry.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Lock-Out/Tag-Out experience.
• Welding experience required.
• Experience working in confined spaces.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn company software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair plant and mobile equipment, perform welding repairs and report findings.
• Complete work orders; install, repair and fabricate metal components; ensure safety.
• Prepare and weld steel and aluminum structures and equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections and report findings to Area Manager.
• Assist colleagues to support their activities.
• Respond to emergencies to resolve safety concerns.
• Perform emergency repairs on production equipment.
• Maintain shop, tools, vehicles and equipment for safety and availability.
• Promote health, safety and environmental policies on all shifts.
